Benefit For Women's Center Is A Benefit For Gardeners As Well

By Phran Novelli

PHILADELPHIA (CBS) - On Saturday June 21st, rain or shine, you can explore four distinct gardens across two acres on one private property in Green Lane, PA. From to 2 to 6 pm as you gather lots of good gardening ideas you'll be doing a lot of good too, since the proceeds support victims of abuse through the Victim Services Center and the Women's Center of Montgomery County.

This 'Art in the Garden' event will present jewelry, pottery, and sculpture for you to browse or buy as you stroll through a cutting garden of perennials, annuals and cascading wisteria; a heart-shaped garden with a sundial surrounded by roses, phlox and iris; a cottage garden with hibiscus topiary, bee balm, lilies, and corn flowers; and a garden of towering ornamental grasses.

Musical performances, refreshments and appetizers from sponsoring eateries are all included in your ticket price of only $12 for adults, $8 for grown-ups over 62, and $5 for students.

You can get all the details and directions as well as buy tickets at VictimServicesCenter.org.
