Woman Dies in Two-Vehicle Accident in Northeast Philadelphia

PHILADELPHIA (CBS) -- Philadelphia police are investigating a fatal, two-vehicle accident this morning in the city's Crescentville section.
Police say a 71-year-old man was driving his Toyota Corolla south on Tabor Avenue just before 9:30am when he turned left on Godfrey Avenue. Police say the Corolla struck a blue van travelling north on Tabor.
A woman driving the van was pronounced dead at the scene a short time later. The man was taken to Albert Einstein Hospital, where he was listed in critical condition with head and leg injuries.
The 35-year-old woman was not immediately identified.
Accident investigators are now handling the case. There were no immediate arrests.
