PHILADELPHIA (CBS) – Pop-up dinner party Diner en Blanc has released its 2014 date.

The impromptu outdoor event in which participants don all-white clothing and eat a picnic-style meal at a Philadelphia landmark will take place on Thursday, August 21, 2014. The exact location of the party will only be disclosed to participants just moments before the event.

Organizers say Diner en Blanc, now in its third year in the City of Brotherly Love, is getting more interest here than ever. Five thousand new people are said to have added their names to the wait list since it opened.

Of course, getting on the wait list doesn’t guarantee you an invitation to the fete. Past participants are automatically added to the wait list and notified when registration goes on sale.

Diner en Blanc started in Paris 26 years ago and quickly spread to more than 40 cities across five continents. Last year’s Philadelphia soiree took place at the JFK bridge near 30th Street Station, and 2012’s was in Logan Square.
