D.A.: Man Convicted Of Sexually Assaulting His 11-Year-Old Cousin

PHILADELPHIA (CBS) – A jury has convicted an 18-year-old man of involuntary deviate sexual intercourse with a child, criminal conspiracy, unlawful contact with a minor, indecent assault of a child and corruption of minors after he allegedly sexual assaulted his younger cousin.

Eighteen-year-old Anthony Pinkney allegedly forced his 11-year-old cousin to perform oral sex on him multiple times.

According to the District Attorney's Office, he showed the young girl pornography in order to show her what he wanted her to do. The abuse went on for several weeks and Pinkney brought over his best friend to sexually abuse the victim as well.

Authorities say the two males continued to show her pornography and took turns sexually assaulting her.

Pinkney admitted part of his involvement in the crime to Special Victims detectives, but later testified that detectives fabricated his statement and he never abused his female cousin.

He will be sentenced by Judge Lane on September 12, 2014.
