More Showers And Temperatures Plunge

By Kathy Orr

PHILADELPHIA (CBS) -- A "backdoor front," will sink far enough southwest to allow a brief break from the rain.

The persistent east wind will, however, keep low clouds and cool air in place Thursday.

Highs will struggle in the mid-60s and there is a chance of some afternoon showers.

Temperatures will bounce back Friday, highs will be in the mid 70's, but a cold front will bring an afternoon shower or thunderstorm.

The weekend will be warm, highs will rise into the upper 70's both days with a good deal of sunshine - a great way to kick off June!

Monday will be warm again, as highs climb to 80 degrees.  But will it last this time?
