Man Impaled During Attempted Robbery In Ogontz

PHILADELPHIA (CBS) – A man was found impaled through the stomach early Sunday morning in the Ogontz section of Philadelphia.

This happened just before 1 a.m. on the 5700 block of North Broad Street.

Authorities say they believe the 38-year-old mad, the victim of an attempted robbery, was impaled with a steel bar, although it is unclear exactly what kind of object was used.

The victim is listed in stable condition at Einstein Hospital.

No arrests have been made.
