Officers Rescue Dog Stuck Neck Deep In Mud Near Chester County Stream

WILLISTOWN Twp., Pa. (CBS) – Two police officers are being credited for saving the life of a dog in Chester County.

On Friday, May 9th, Sergeant Mike Martin and Patrol Officer Mike Kushner of Willistown Township Police responded to a call for assistance from a resident whose dog was found neck deep in the mud very close to a stream.

13-year-old Pluto had been missing for nearly three days.

According to police, Sergeant Martin and Officer Kushner immediately jumped into the mud to save Pluto, who was in dire condition.

After being treated at a veterinary hospital, police say Pluto is now home with his family and doing well.
