Police Seek Trio, Including One Caught on Video, in Montco Robbery

By Brad Segall

PLYMOUTH MEETING, Pa. (CBS) -- Police in Plymouth Township, Pa. have released video surveillance of one of three men they're looking for in connection with an armed robbery of an elderly businessman early Friday morning.

Police believe the victim was targeted and may have been followed home from his business on Germantown Avenue in Philadelphia.

The video surveillance was taken from a convenience store on the way, and the victim told police he recognized one of the men who accosted him when he got home to Plymouth Meeting.

Detective sergeant Tom Longo says a large amount of cash and a cell phone were taken.

"We'd like to get any help that we can from the public in general, to help get these guys off the street," he tells KYW Newsradio.  "They're bad individuals and we know that they have at least two guns."

Longo says the men threatened to shoot the victim if he didn't give up the cash and phone.   The incident happened around 1:30am Friday morning along the 600 block of West Germantown Pike.

Anyone with information is asked to call the Plymouth Township police department at 610-279-1901.
