South Jersey Man Charged In Fatal Apartment Shooting
MAYS LANDING, N.J. (AP) — Felony murder charges have been filed against a southern New Jersey man who allegedly shot and killed another man three years ago.
Atlantic County prosecutors say the suspect, whose name wasn't released because he was a juvenile at the time, was arrested without incident Thursday at a relative's home.
The now 21-year-old Atlantic City man is also charged with murder, robbery and weapons offenses in the February 2011 slaying of 48-year-old Bruce Bowers, who died of a gunshot wound to the chest.
Bowers' body was found inside his apartment at the Lighthouse Plaza in Atlantic City after police responded to reports of an odor coming from his unit.
The suspect remains jailed without bail, and it's not known if prosecutors would seek to have him tried as an adult.
