Tracking Showers And A Taste Of Summer

By Kathy Orr

PHILADELPHIA (CBS) --  A warm front to our south will gradually move through overnight. Ahead of it, a moist, southeasterly (onshore) wind will continue.  That means more low clouds and fog will form. The fog has become locally dense near the shore.

A DENSE FOG ADVISORY is in effect for Atlantic and Cape May Counties in New Jersey until 10am Saturday.

Visibility may be reduced to a quarter mile or less at times.

As the warm front lifts through the region during the early morning hours, I expect some light rain or showers.

By daybreak Saturday the warm front should be north our area. A warm and moist southwesterly wind will increase during the day.  As a weak cold front approaches from the west, there will be scattered showers and storms in the afternoon and evening, high temperatures will be near 80 degrees.

Mother's Day will be Partly Sunny and pleasant. Morning temperatures will rise quickly through the 60s for the Race for the CureSunday Morning.

By the afternoon, the temperature will rise to 82 degrees. Great weather for mom!

Monday skies will remain Partly Sunny, the high 85.

The heat will peak Tuesday with highs in the mid to upper 80s!

Have a great weekend and Happy Mother's Day!

Kathy
