The CBS 3 'Women Of Eyewitness News' To Host Opening Ceremonies, Broadcast Of 24th Annual Komen Philadelphia Race For The Cure

PHILADELPHIA (CBS) -- CBS 3 and The CW Philly's "Women of Eyewitness News" -- Kate Bilo, Nicole Brewer, Natasha Brown, Pat Ciarrocchi, Jessica Dean, Carol Erickson, Katie Fehlinger, Kathy Orr, Stephanie Stahl, Lesley Van Arsdall and Erika von Tiehl -- joined by their CBS RADIO counterparts, will host the opening ceremonies and broadcast of the 24th annual Susan G. Komen Philadelphia Race for the Cure®, the largest run/walk event in the Philadelphia area and one of the community's most successful breast cancer events, on Mother's Day, Sunday, May 11.

CBS 3's Nicole Brewer will bring viewers live coverage of the event from the CBS Broadcast Center studios from 6 to 9 a.m. with the rest of the "Women of Eyewitness News" on site reporting live from the Race. They will be joined by Valerie Knight of 98.1 WOGL's Breakfast Club, Dom Giordano of TalkRadio 1210AM WPHT and Michelle Durham of KYW Newsradio 1060. All of the CBS properties in Philadelphia are supporting the Race with PSAs and news stories. Live coverage of the Race will also be streamed on CBSPhilly.com and CWPhilly.com. A new feature this year -- those attending the Race are invited to stop by the CBS 3/CW Philly Photo Booth to snap a selfie with the "Women of Eyewitness News."

The Mother's Day tradition will begin at the Philadelphia Museum of Art/ Eakins Oval with the Race for the Cure opening ceremonies at 7 a.m. and the 5K run/walk following at 8:15 a.m. The event will conclude with the 3rd Annual Kids for the Cure UnitedHealthcare Dash to Make a Difference at 11 a.m.
