Free Soft Pretzels For National Pretzel Day

PHILADELPHIA (CBS) --- Anywhere else and you may never know its National Pretzel Day. But, of course, this is Philly, so all you have to do is ask around.
Nowhere else on the planet is there such a passion for knotted, salted dough.
In celebration of Pretzel Day Saturday, the Philly Pretzel Factory was giving away one free pretzel at any location, to anyone who walked in.
This means that Pretzel Factory employees were twisting as fast as possible all day.
"We need to do 30,000 pretzels today," said one pretzel artisan.
"You can't beat a Philly pretzel! They're the best," said an enthusiastic customer.
The Philly Pretzel Factory says despite giving away so many treats for free, free pretzel day actually boosts sales.
