PHILADELPHIA (CBS) — One person was killed and another is in critical condition after a two-car accident that involved a taxi in Philadelphia early Friday morning.

The deadly crash happened at about 1:30 a.m. in the 7100 block of Old York Road in the city’s West Oak Lane section.

According to investigators, a taxi cab collided with a Nissan that was driving on Old York Road.

The driver of the Nissan was taken to Albert Einstein Medical Center, but later succumbed to their injuries.

The taxi cab driver was also taken to Einstein in critical condition.

There were no passengers in the taxi at the time of the crash.

The deadly collision remains under investigation.
