Armed Sexual Assault Suspect Charged With Additional Crimes

CAMDEN, N.J. (CBS) -- According to police, Reynaldo Nieves, who is already in custody for sexual assaults, has been charged with two additional crimes.

The victims came forward after learning of his recent arrest. (See Previous Story)

Nieves is now also accused of attempting to lure a 14-year-old girl walking near Dudley Grange Park on March 23. He was charged with one count of attempted luring on Monday.

Police also say Nieves is allegedly responsible for a sexual assault on November 24.The victim was originally reluctant to cooperate with officers, but came forward after the announcement that Nieves was in custody.

The female victim accompanied Nieves into an abandoned warehouse at 6th and Jackson where he allegedly choked, sexually assaulted and robbed her.

He has been charged with aggravated sexual assault, robbery, making terroristic threats, criminal restraint and aggravated assault for this crime.

Nieves has been at the Camden County Jail since April 3. His bail now stands at $3 million after being increased Monday by $150,000 for the March 23 crime and $850,000 for the November 24 crime.
