Woman Shot In The Face On West Oak Lane Street

PHILADELPHIA (CBS) -- Police are investigating the shooting of a woman in the face on a street in Philadelphia early Monday morning.
The shooting happened at about 8 a.m. in the 7300 block of Rugby Street in the city's West Oak Lane section.
According to investigators, a 25-year-old female was shot in the face by an unknown assailant. The woman was rushed to Albert Einstein Medical Center where she is listed in critical but stable condition.
After the shooting, the suspect fled the scene.
Investigators believe the shooting may have been a robbery attempt.
The shooting remains under investigation.
