UPDATE: Police ID Suspect Wanted In Center City Sex Assault, Robbery

PHILADELPHIA (CBS) – Philadelphia Police have identified the suspect wanted in connection with a sexual assault and robbery in Center City.

Police say the suspect has been identified as 26-year-old Douglas Spady, also known as Douglas Casey, of the 5200 block of Cottage Street.

The incident happened around 1:30 p.m. Wednesday at the Hilton Home 2 Suites Hotel in the 1200 block of Arch Street.

According to police, a 34 year-old man was staying at the hotel and met an unknown male on the internet. Police say the victim invited him to his hotel room.

According to police, the suspect stated that he had a gun and sexually assaulted him. Police say the suspect then forced the victim to withdraw a total of $1,000 from five area ATM machines and then forced him to purchase $2,000 in VISA gift cards.

A short time later, police say the victim and the suspect arrived at the Irish Pub in the 2000 block of Walnut Street where the victim was able to run away from the suspect.

The suspect also fled on foot.

The suspect is described by police as 5'11", wavy hair, with star tattoos on the back of his right hand. He was wearing a dark colored jacket, dark blue jeans with rips, and tan timberland boots.
