70's in Sight!

By Kathy Orr

PHILADELPHIA (CBS) -- Temperatures will be well above the average high of 62 degrees right through early next week!

The weather stays quiet Thursday as High Pressure dominates our area.

As the High slides off the coast Thursday, southwesterly winds will push milder air into the Delaware Valley.

Expect sunny skies with highs around 68 degrees. The winds will pick up late in the day, gusting to 25, even 30 miles-an-hour.

Friday will be mild but a cold front will bring more clouds and a chance of showers late in the day. Highs will still manage to rise to 68 degrees again!

The weekend weather looks great! Expect highs around 70 on Saturday and in the low to mid-70s on Sunday, as a ridge in the Jet Stream allows warmer air to return.

Monday will be the warmest day ahead of our next cold front with highs reaching the mid-70s. Clouds are forecast to increase during the day, but if we get more sun…temperatures will climb even higher!

Enjoy the warmth, but try not to get used to it! It is still early Spring and our weather pattern remains active. There will be periods of mild weather followed by a few brief cool downs this month. Another cold front will pass by Tuesday with rain and cooler temperatures for next week.
