Drying Out Today

By Justin Drabick

PHILADELPHIA (CBS) -- A low pressure system will continue to track into southern Canada today, allowing for drier weather to return.

With the leftover showers before daybreak this morning, rainfall amounts have been up around 1/2 inch. Through the morning, skies will begin to clear as a cold front moves through. Behind the front, expect windy conditions this afternoon, but temperatures will be mild in the mid 60s with some sunshine.

The Phillies home opener at 4:05pm this afternoon will stay dry with partly sunny skies. Temperatures around first pitch will be in the low 60s, but expect gusty winds from the west around 30 mph.

Consistent spring weather will continue in our forecast for the next several days. Temperatures take a bit of a hit on Wednesday with a high around 60 under mostly sunny skies. Then a warming trend takes place for late week with high temperatures above average. Expect more sunshine on Thursday with highs in the mid 60s and highs near 70 on Friday. A cold front moving through on Friday could bring a shower in some locations.
