Phillies Fans Return To The Ballpark For On-Deck Series

By Dan Wing

PHILADELPHIA (CBS) -- The Phillies played the first of two games at Citizens Bank Park this weekend Friday night, as the team took a 3-0 loss to Pittsburgh (See Related Story).

Even though the team didn't win, fans still had their usual good time.

KYW's Dan Wing has more from the ballpark.

Fans who weren't scared off by the slight threat of rain were treated to a nice night at the ballpark, as temps hung around 60 degrees with a slight breeze. While the team didn't look to hot, some fans were keeping a positive outlook.

"I've gotta be honest, I'm excited about the season," a fan said.

"Let's hope they heat up towards the end of the season, and at least get in to the playoffs. We need some playoff action," another fan said.

Other fans were keeping expectations low.

"It's one of those years where you may need a few beers to watch the Phillies play."

One thing all fans did agree on is that CBP has endless options for good food.

"You can't go wrong with Chickie's and Pete's crab fries so we had to come over here and get crab fries, and we posted up at Bull's BBQ. Bull's BBQ is one of the best establishments in this place. It's been great," a fan said.
