PHILADELPHIA (CBS) – Infielder Kevin Frandsen has refused his minor league assignment, and has decided to become a free agent, the Phillies announced Tuesday.
Frandsen, 31 years old, is primarily a first and third baseman, and appeared in 119 games for the Phillies in 2013. He hit .234 with five home runs and an OPS of .637, and signed a one-year contract prior to the season with the team.
