Philadelphia Brewery Creates Brain-infused Beer In Honor Of Popular Zombie Show

PHILADELPHIA (CBS) – Well, they really must have racked their brains to come up with this one.

A Philadelphia brewery has created a special beer for fans of AMC's zombie apocalypse-themed television show "The Walking Dead." Among the ingredients? Wheat, oats, cranberry and…smoked goat brains.

The so-called "brainchild" of Head Brewer Justin Low and Brewery Rep Sasha Certo-Ware, who claim to have spent many a Monday morning discussing the twists and turns of Sunday night's episode, Dock Street Walker is an American Pale Stout that promises a slight tartness and "intriguing, subtle smoke notes." The latter is due, of course, to the addition of the smoked brains.

If that doesn't make you want to down a pint or two, the beer reportedly also has a "sinister, bloody hue." Lovely.

But if you're intrigued rather than appalled, Dock Street will be releasing the beer to the public on March 30th, during a party and screening of "The Walking Dead" season finale. Growlers will be available for those who'd like their brains to go.
