PHILADELPHIA (CBS) – An equipment fire has around 1,800 customers in Bucks and Montgomery County in the dark.

A PECO spokesman says a wire and pole caught fire at Treewigtown and County Line Roads in Colmar, Montgomery County.

County Line Road is closed between Treewigtown Road and Line Lexington Road.  Officials advise to use caution while driving in the area, some traffic signals are out.

Officials say 1,843 customers in Colmar, Lansdale, New Britain and Hatfield are impacted.

No word on what caused the fire. There has been no timetable for power to be restored.

In addition, Bucks County officials say a transformer exploded on Callowhill Road between Ferry Road and East Peace Valley Road in New Britain Township.  Power lines are down across the road.  The road will be shut down until PECO can make repairs.
