Facebook COO and Lean In author Sheryl Sandberg has started a campaign to ban the word "bossy" because it deters girls from becoming leaders.

The goal of the "ban bossy" campaign is to help girls and women feel more confident and comfortable as leaders.

It has support from women like Beyoncé, Jane Lynch, fashion designer Diane von Furstenberg, former Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice and Girl Scouts USA CEO Anna Maria Chávez.
