Police Arrest Man Accused Of Raping, Robbing Victim At Knifepoint

PHILADELPHIA (CBS) – Police have arrested a 46-year-old man accused of raping and robbing a 32-year-old female at knifepoint.

On Saturday, March 1st at 11:30 a.m. on the 400 block of Seville Street, Edward Kappe allegedly sexually assaulted and then robbed the victim of her cell phone, her purse which contained her wallet with various credit cards and identification, and her car keys.

Authorities apprehended Kappe on the 2900 block of West Allegheny Avenue.

Police recovered the victim's belongings following his arrest.

The suspect has been charged with rape, aggravated assault, theft, burglary and other related offenses.
