Philly Cop and Former Phone Sex Operator Talks to Dom Giordano

PHILADELPHIA (CBS) – Dom Giordano spoke with Philadelphia Police Officer Terra Barrow earlier today (Wednesday, 2/26) on Talk Radio 1210 WPHT. Officer Barrow previously operated a series of a phone sex lines and sex sites.

"The Daily News should be covering real stories and real news as opposed to taking the time to bash someone, especially if it never prohibited me from doing my job," Barrow said responding to a front cover story featuring her in yesterday's Philadelphia Daily News.

"The girls that work in the industry, they're all independent contractors, so whatever is written for their character is written by them," she said about the themes of the sex lines, some of the crossing the line into the morally taboo.

"I don't think it's a form of prostitution. There's no actual physical intercourse involved," she said answering to the accusation that the phone operators are offering sex for money.

"The public forgets that we are human beings and that we are people too. People hold us to higher standards and that's fine and acceptable, but people need to realize we need to eat just like everyone else does. I didn't break the law. I didn't do anything wrong and I still don't see anything wrong with it," Barrow said regarding the internal investigation that the police department launched into her behavior in 2011, before deciding not to punish her.
