EXCLUSIVE VIDEO: Serial Robber Targeting Women Strikes Again, For 8th Time In Overbrook Park

 By Walt Hunter

PHILADELPHIA (CBS) -- Southwest detectives are warning women to be on the alert, after a knife-carrying serial robber has struck again, for the 8th time in Overbrook Park. Police say a 41-year -old woman was ambushed as she pulled her car into the garage of her home, the attacker pulling a knife and demanding her purse.

"I heard the screaming, and I actually thought it was a TV," neighbor Barbara Boatwright said.

"I heard her screaming, asking for help," neighbor Antonio Johnson said.  He ran into the driveway to help her.

Although traumatized, the victim was not otherwise injured.

"She said someone came up to her with a hood on and a knife and demanded that they take her belongings," Johnson said.

Back on January 29th, police released video of the robber dragging one of his first six victims across a parking lot (See Related Story).  So far all of the victims are women.

The robber struck for the 7th time Friday, then today in broad daylight at noontime.

Lt. John Walker, calling the robber a "coward", suggested women use the buddy system and not wear headphones to increase their awareness of their surroundings until the robber is caught.

Only CBS 3 cameras were there as detectives searched the victim's car for clues, hoping they would help lead to an arrest.

"She's in a very nice neighborhood. This is a very nice neighborhood. I'm surprised to hear something like that happened. It is not good at all," neighbor Franz Rudale said.

"It is scary. I'm a senior citizen. I could be the next victim, anybody," a neighbor said.

"People have to live here, and you don't want to live in a place where you have to fear for your life," Johnson said. "It's just not fair."
