Drexel Edged By Charleston 47-46

CHARLESTON, S.C. (AP) — Willis Hall, who finished with 11 rebounds and nine points, drilled a go-ahead jumper with 4 seconds left to lift Charleston past Drexel 47-46 on Thursday night.

The Cougars trailed by five with 6:05 remaining, but pushed into the lead as Hall converted a three-point play to make it 43-40.

Drexel wouldn't go down easy, ripping off a 6-0 run to go up by three, but Joe Chealy then sank two free throws.

Frantz Massenat was fouled on the next possession and missed both free throws. Hall corralled an offensive rebound after Anthony Stitt's 3-pointer was blocked, and nailed a jumper. Chris Fouch's ensuing layup couldn't find the net as time expired.

Charleston (13-13, 5-6 Colonial Athletic Association) outrebounded Drexel 46-38. Canyon Barry scored 10 points and Adjehi Baru hauled in 13 boards.

The Dragons (13-11, 5-6) were led by Massenat with 16 points and Tavon Allen had 12.
