Majority Of Fans Vote That They'd Approve Of Eagles Drafting Michael Sam

PHILADELPHIA (CBS) – SEC defensive player of the year and All-American former Missouri defensive end, Michael Sam, announced he is gay Sunday. Sam, 6'2", 255 pounds, is a projected mid round selection in the upcoming NFL draft. If drafted, Sam would become the first openly homosexual NFL player.

One criticism of Sam's physical ability is he may be too small to succeed as a true 4-3 defensive end in the NFL. Converting to more of a hybrid, 3-4 pass rushing linebacker could suit Sam better in the NFL, a position the Eagles are looking to add depth at.

The WIP Morning Show asked on the Audio Roadshow app poll question, "Would you have any reservations about a Philly sports team signing a gay player?" An overwhelming 82% of fans responded that that they would not have any reservations.
