Pregnant Woman Jumps Off Second Floor Roof To Escape Fire

SALEM, N.J. (CBS)--According to the Salem Fire Department, a pregnant woman jumped from the second floor roof of a home to escape a fire.

Crews responded to the scene on Walnut Street early Wednesday morning.

Salem Fire Chief Ayars arrived to find the woman had jumped from the second floor roof in order to escape the engulfing flames.

The victim was immediately tended to by her neighbors and transported to a local hospital where her condition is unknown at this time.

The blaze had already spread to the second floor before crews were able to gain control.
