Majority Betting On The Broncos In The Super Bowl

PHILADELPHIA (CBS) – The Broncos have the best offense in the NFL. The Seahawks have the best defense in the NFL. The Super Bowl will decide which is more important, and people are putting their money on Denver.

According to Bovada, 66% of the people who have bet on the Super Bowl so far have put their money on Denver, who is a three point favorite in the game.

"It was the perfect storm for the book on Sunday as we had the right side of both games and took off the table any Super Bowl future book exposure that could have been damaging," Kevin Bradley, sports book manager at Bovada said in a statement. "While money over the last few weeks moved to an early Super Bowl line of NFC -2.5; Denver's strong performance against New England combined with the Hawks grind 'em out style of football puts Denver at -3 and currently two thirds of the early money is on them to cover."

Peyton Manning is the favorite to win the Super Bowl MVP at Bovada, with odds of 8/5. He's followed by Seahawks quarterback Russell Wilson at 13/4, and Seahawks running back Marshawn Lynch at 6/1.

Seattle cornerback Richard Sherman, who made news after Sundays' win over the 49ers with his tirade about 49ers wide receiver Michael Crabtree, is 16/1 odds to win the Super Bowl MVP.
