Wilmington Mother Arrested After Reportedly Throwing Baby Down The Stairs
WILMINGTON, Del. (CBS) – A Wilmington woman was arrested after she allegedly threw her one-year-old daughter down a flight of stairs.
On Thursday, Jan. 2nd around 1:47 a.m., police responded to a residence in the 300 block of N Franklin Street after receiving a 911 call about an injured child.
An investigation determined that the child's mother, 31-year-old Rhiannon Watson, had become incensed when her baby daughter wouldn't stop crying.
Watson punched the child in the mouth then threw her down the stairs.
Police say the child was transported to AI DuPont Hospital for Children in stable condition with facial injuries.
Watson was arraigned and released after posting $13,000 unsecured bond.
