Fans Descend on Eagles Pro Shop, Gearing Up in Eagles' Green

By Mike DeNardo

CHERRY HILL, N.J.  (CBS) --     With the first round of the NFC playoffs approaching on Saturday, Eagles' fans are buying gear to get ready.

The "NFC East Champion" caps were hot sellers yesterday at the Eagles Pro Shop in Cherry Hill. Manager Kevin Rafferty says more caps, and NFC East champion t-shirts, should arrive today.

"Obviously, after a big win, everyone's a little more excited," he said yesterday. "But overall, business has been great. Everyone's excited for how the team's doing."

The pickin's were slim yesterday when Veronica Delligatti of Collingswood, NJ went birthday shopping for her dad.

"We got him an Eagles' t-shirt and the championship hat," she said.  She said she got one of the last two remaining on the shelf.

But fellow Eagles fan John Finnegan, of Bellmawr, NJ, isn't buying any hat just yet.  He's waiting to see how far his Birds go in the postseason.  He admits he's superstitious.

"I usually don't buy the division stuff -- I usually kinda wait to see," he said.  "Hopefully we get that big Super Bowl hat!"

He says New Orleans is a different team outside the Superdome, and with a gametime forecast in the 20s, he likes the Eagles' chances -- no matter which hat he wears.
