Camden County Gas Station Attendant Stabbed During Attempted Robbery

WOODLYNNE, NJ (CBS) – Police in Camden County are searching for a man who stabbed a gas station attendant during an attempted robbery on Thursday.

Around 1 p.m., Woodlynne Police responded to a 911 call reporting a robbery at the Citgo on the corner of Mt. Ephraim Avenue and Ferry Avenue.

The attendant, 18-year-old Rukman Sodi, was stabbed in the back after he allegedly refused to comply with the suspect's demand for money.

The suspect is described as a white man around 21-22 years of age who is 5'8" with a medium build. He was wearing an orange jacket, black pants and a white ski mask, and he fled the scene in a gray Mazda 8 with tinted windows that was parked nearby.

Police say the victim was taken to Cooper Medical Center, where he was treated and released.

Anyone with information on the suspect or the vehicle is asked to call police.
