Police Arrest Man For Robbing Three Banks In Less Than 2 Weeks

PHILADELPHIA (CBS)—Police have announced the arrest of 32-year-old William Edwards in connection to three bank robberies in less than two weeks in Philadelphia.

Edwards is accused of robbing the PNC Bank located on 1801 Market Street on December 2nd, Citizens Bank located at 7327 Frankford Avenue on December 9th and Susquehanna Bank located at 1845 Walnut Street on December 13th.

Police were able to obtain surveillance photos from all three of the robberies.

After releasing the surveillance photos, police received numerous tips on Edwards' identity leading to his arrest.

Edwards was arrested inside is home on the 4400 block of East Wingohocking Street on December 17th.

He is charged with multiple robberies and related offenses.
