Drexel Pulls Away From St. Francis (Pa.), 59-49

PHILADELPHIA (AP) — Chris Fouch scored 15 points to help Drexel hold off St. Francis, 59-49 in a battle of Pennsylvania rivals Sunday.

The Red Flash (2-9) trailed by just two points at halftime and cut the Drexel lead to two twice early in the second half, but the Dragons pulled away down the stretch, holding St. Francis to a season-low 49 points in their final game of December.

Franz Massenat, the Colonial Athletic Association Player of the Week, added 13 points for Drexel (8-3) and Kazembe Abif added 11 rebounds and nine points as Drexel bounced back after having a four-game win streak snapped Wednesday at Saint Joseph's.

Fouch and Massenat average a combined 36 points per game for Drexel. The Dragons were 22 of 48 from the field.

Dominique Major led St. Francis with 16 points off the bench.
