Police: Missing Philadelphia 2-Year-Old Found, Mother's Ex-Boyfriend Faces Charges

PHILADELPHIA (CBS) -- Philadelphia police say a missing two-year-old has been found safe and was reunited with his mother Friday afternoon.

According to investigators, the mother of two-year-old Dashawn Thorpe left her son in the care and custody of her ex-boyfriend, 27-year-old Tyrone E. Rowland (See Related Story).

Police say Rowland picked up Thorpe from the Precious Moments Daycare, located at Germantown and Lehigh Avenues, on December 11th with the understanding that he would bring him back to her on December 15th.

Investigators say Thorpe failed to return Thorpe to his mother on December 15th.

According to police, Dashawn was located in Allentown in the care of 27 year-old Tyrone Eddie Rowland.

Police say Rowland is charged with Interfering with the custody of a child, and Endangering the Welfare of a Child.
