Philadelphia Police Searching For Missing 2-Year-Old

PHILADELPHIA (CBS) -- Philadelphia police are investigating the disappearance of a two-year-old who was reportedly last in the presence of his mother's ex-boyfriend.

According to investigators, the mother of two-year-old Dashawn Thorpe left her son in the care and custody of her ex-boyfriend, 27-year-old Tyrone E. Rowland.

Police say Rowland picked up Thorpe from the Precious Moments Daycare, located at Germantown and Lehigh Avenues, on December 11th with the understanding that he would bring him back to her on December 15th.

Investigators say Thorpe failed to return Thorpe to his mother on December 15th.

Rowland and Thorpe's whereabouts are currently unknown.
