LeSean McCoy Was Giving Eagles Players Cowboys Updates On The Team Plane

PHILADELPHIA (CBS) – The Eagles couldn't have been very happy on the flight home from Minnesota.

They had just been blown out by the Vikings, and their one game lead on the Dallas Cowboys in the NFC East seemed like it wasn't long for this world. With the Cowboys up 26-3 at halftime over the Packers, a tie atop the division seemed like it was a mere formality.

But as the Eagles were in the air, the Packers mounted a comeback. The only person on the Eagles team plane who had internet access was running back LeSean McCoy, who decided to have a little fun with his teammates.

McCoy told the story of the flight home on the Player's Lounge show on 94WIP Monday night, along with Anthony Gargano and Ike Reese.

"Hey, bud what's that score? Hey, buddy what's that score?," McCoy said laughing, doing his best Howie Roseman impression.

"I said, 'yeah [Tony] Romo he threw a 37 yard pass, touchdown'. They're like, 'really?' I'm like 'na, he threw a pick actually'. Because nobody had knew except for me, so whatever I said they had to believe," McCoy said. "I was just joking with some of the players. When I was talking to Chip [Kelly] and Howie [Roseman] I was serious."

While McCoy and the Eagles were unhappy with the results of their own game, the Cowboys game was a different story.

"It definitely did [helped our spirits]. I didn't feel like a loss either," McCoy said. "If you lose, you don't want to talk. So, it didn't feel like a loss which is bad to say I guess."

McCoy also seemed unaware of the exact playoff scenarios that exist for the Eagles. You can hear Gargano and Reese explain them to him here:
