Four Wounded In Shooting Outside Wilmington Night Club

WILMINGTON, Del. (CBS) -- Four people were wounded in an overnight shooting outside of a nightclub in Wilmington, Delaware.

It happened just before 2 a.m. Saturday in the parking lot of the Moodswing Niteclub in the 3400 block of Kirkwood Highway.

Police say a large crowd was exiting the club after an event featuring rapper Meek Mill when gunfire erupted.

Three men, ages 21, 22 and 24, and a 33-year-old woman were all shot. The victims were taken to local hospitals and treated for non-life threatening injuries.

Authorities say when state troopers arrived, they were confronted by approximately 600 to 700 people in the parking lot trying to flee the shooting on foot and in cars. At least five vehicles in the parking lot were damaged by the gunfire.

Investigators believe there were multiple shooters, but say they have no suspects at this time.

The shooting remains under investigation.

Anyone with information about the incident is asked to contact the Major Crimes Unit at Troop 2 at 302-834-2630.
