1 Dead, 1 Injured In Crash In Northeast Philadelphia

PHILADELPHIA (CBS) -- One person is dead and another is injured in an accident in Northeast Philadelphia.

The crash happened around 8:45 a.m. Saturday when a car slammed into a U-HAUL truck near the intersection of Summerdale & Princeton Avenues in the city's Oxford Circle section.

The driver of the car, a man in his late 20's, was pronounced dead at the scene.

The 34-year-old driver of the U-HAUL truck suffered injuries to his head, neck and back. He was taken to Albert Einstein Medical Center in stable condition.

The cause of the crash remains under investigation.

The identities of the two drivers involved in the accident were not released.
