Eagles Fans Finally Get To Go Home Happy

By Dan Wing

PHILADELPHIA (CBS) - It's been a long time coming, but the Eagles were finally able to snap a ten-game losing streak at Lincoln Financial Field Sunday with a 24-16 win over the Washington Redskins.

It was smooth sailing through the first three-quarters, before the fans were taken on a wild roller coaster ride in the 4th -- but the birds did prevail over Washington, giving the team their first win at home in over a year.

Fans rushing out of the stadium with arms raised in victory say the debate over the quarterback is finally over:

"I think Foles is our franchise QB. Forget the draft looking for a quarterback, I think they've got their QB now," this fan said.

A lot of fans were also highly impressed with the defense, who dominated the first three-quarters before coming up with the game winning play late in the 4th.

"They're going to get to know each other when the guys come back together when the guys get healthy. Baby watch out," says this fan.

The win also gives the Eagles sole possession of first place in the NFC East headed into their bye week.
