Wounded Egg Harbor Township Police Dog Leaves Hospital
EGG HARBOR TOWNSHIP, N.J. (AP) — A southern New Jersey police dog who was shot and wounded while on the job last week has been released from a veterinary hospital.
Shooter, who served with the Egg Harbor Township force, was shot while taking part in a manhunt for a suspect who was also wounded during the confrontation (see related story).
Township police say Shooter was released Tuesday and will continue his recuperation at an undisclosed location. Further details on his injuries were not disclosed.
