Report: Phillies To Look At Cruz, Choo, Ellsbury

PHILADELPHIA (CBS)  – Now that the World Series is over, and the off-season officially begins, the process of plugging holes begins for the Phillies. One of the most important holes, is in the outfield.

According to a report from Jon Heyman of CBS Sports, the Phillies will look at a few big names to fill that hole. According to Heyman, people "expect" the Phillies to take a serious look at Jacoby Ellsbury, Shin-Soo Choo, Nelson Cruz and "possibly Curtis Granderson."

Left field for the Phillies would seem to be solidly in the hands of Domonic Brown, and center field would belong to Ben Revere. That leaves right field, and unless you believe that Darin Ruf is an every day right fielder, the Phillies need to make a move to fill that position.

"One person familiar with their situation said they were even prepared to try to bring back Hunter Pence, who signed back with the Giants for $90 million," Heyman says.
