NJ Man Indicted In Male Sex Ring Case

MAYS LANDING, N.J. (AP) — A New Jersey man has been indicted on charges of running a male prostitution ring.

The attorney general's office said Thursday that 40-year-old Marc A. Branch faces first-degree human trafficking and sexual assault charges as well as other counts.

Authorities arrested Branch in October 2012. Prosecutors say he was allegedly operating a male prostitution ring from his apartment in Ventnor, where he allegedly gave narcotics to young men, including at least one minor, and prostituted them to male clients.

The indictment also charges a client who allegedly sexually assaulted a minor and a third man who allegedly tried to conceal evidence.

It is not immediately clear whether Branch has an attorney.

The attorney general's office says Branch is currently serving a state prison sentence for drug possession.
