'Deep-fried Twinkie Burger' Makes Philadelphia Debut

PHILADELPHIA (CBS) – A gut-busting burger is making its Philly debut on Tuesday.

It's called the Deep-fried Twinkie Burger, and it's straight from the kitchen of Northern Liberties' PYT.

Courtesy of PYT's Facebook page, a description of the artery-clogger reads, "Two deep-fried Twinkie buns. Custom blend pork belly patty. American cheese. Extra bacon."

The Deep-fried Twinkie Burger is just the latest offering from PYT, which is already famous in Philly for its rotating selection of oddball (and potentially heart-stopping) burgers. The restaurant previously sold a Szechuan Lamb Burger sandwiched between buns made of sticky rice and the Donut Burger held together by two halves of a glazed donut.

Feel the need for a heavy helping of cholesterol? You can try the Deep-fried Twinkie Burger starting at 11 a.m. on Tuesday, and the first 15 people to order it will get a free sando.

"We are really sorry about this, but someone had to do it," PYT says.
