'From Philadelphia to Monaco: Grace Kelly Beyond the Icon' Exhibition To Open In Bucks County Museum

By Nicole Brewer

PHILADELPHIA (CBS)--From actress to princess, humanitarian and mother, Grace Kelly may be a global icon, but she is also a hometown girl.

Born in East Falls, Grace was voted most likely to become a stage and screen star at Stevens School in Germantown.

And that's only the beginning of the Michener Art Museum's newest exhibit, Grace Kelly: Beyond The Icon.

With over 100 personal belongings, her timeless elegance and glamour comes to life through letters, photographs, film clips and fashion.

From Christian Dior and Coco Chanel to Yves San Laurent and Oleg Cassini, designers loved how she wore their clothes, but they also loved who she was and what she represented.

Now, you can experience Grace Kelly's extraordinary life through the exhibition.

Grace Kelly: Beyond the Icon' begins October 28th 2013 and runs until January 26th 2014.  Tickets are $18 or free for members.
