Video: The Sixers Have A Rap Group

By Spike Eskin

PHILADELPHIA (CBS) – As long as I can remember, athletes have wanted to be musicians, and musicians have wanted to be athletes. That doesn't always mean they should try, but that doesn't always stop them.

Joining the elite company of Dana Barros, Lou Williams and Allen Iverson, Sixers guards Tony Wroten, Michael Carter-Williams, Vander Blue and Khalif Wyatt have formed a rap group they're calling Team WHOP.

That's not all.

They've released an eight minute documentary on the group.

On the positive side of this, it appears as if the young guys are getting along. On the negative side, it would seem unlikely that both Blue and Wyatt actually make the team, which might make recording their next single difficult.

The song begins around the 7:00 mark is not Team WHOP, but rapper Red Cafe.
