Woman, Grandson Struck While Crossing Road In Gloucester Township

CLEMENTON, N.J. (CBS) -- A woman and her young grandson were injured Saturday night when they were struck by a vehicle while crossing the road in Clementon, New Jersey.

Police say 44-year-old Tanya Littles and her grandson were walking home from the supermarket just after 7 p.m. when they were struck by a vehicle while crossing Blackwood-Clementon Road.

Authorities say the 60-year-old driver was attempting to make a left hand turn from Kelly Drivers Lane when the accident occurred.

Both victims were taken to Cooper Hospital where they were listed in stable condition with undisclosed injuries. The driver was not injured.

The roadway was shut down for approximately three hours as a result of the accident.

No charges were filed against the driver.

The crash remains under investigation.
