Pa. Sees 3.6 Percent Drop In Table Game Revenues
HARRISBURG, Pa. (AP) — Pennsylvania casinos reported Wednesday that table games saw a drop of about 3.6 percent in September compared to a year ago, adding to the woes of casino owners after slot machine revenues also saw a decline.
The Pennsylvania Gaming Control Board said the 12 casinos brought in $57.1 million from table games last month. That generated $7.4 million in taxes.
Including slot machines, the casinos brought in $245 million, or more than 5.7 percent below the $260 million they collected in September 2012.
The casinos with the largest table game revenue were Sands in Bethlehem with $14.7 million, Parx in Bensalem with $9.9 million, SugarHouse in Philadelphia with $5.7 million, Rivers in Pittsburgh with $5.5 million and Harrah's in Chester with $5.2 million.
The state's newest casino, Lady Luck Casino Nemacolin, brought in $372,000.
During the 12 months that ended in June, the 11 casinos in the state at the time brought in $2.43 billion in gross slots revenue.
