Sixers Holding Open Practice Saturday

PHILADELPHIA (CBS) – The Sixers new slogan is "Together We Build," and they're giving people a chance to see what they're building with... up close.

The Sixers are holding an open practice at the Palestra this Saturday, to showcase the team that will be the first step in the team's building process.

"This season is about building, both on and off the court, and our open practice for the fans of Philadelphia gives those who matter most to us an inside look at our team," Sixers CEO Scott O'Neil said in a statement. "The players are working hard to prepare for opening night on October 30th when the Miami Heat visit the Wells Fargo Center, and this event allows fans to see Coach Brown lead, develop and build the foundation. He has our young team playing hard every possession in a fast-paced, gritty style that Philly will love."

The Sixers lost their preseason home opener on Monday night to the Brooklyn Nets.

The practice will tip off at 11am on Saturday, but doors will open at 10am at the Palestra, located at 235 S. 33rd St., on the Penn campus. Players will sign autographs for select fans after the practice.

Admission to the event is free, and is first come, first served.
